The School Day

The school day starts at 8.35 a.m. and finishes at 3.10 p.m.  Registration is at  8.45 a.m.

Morning playtimes

At 10.15 a.m. all children have a short break of 15 minutes.

Lunch

Children in Reception have their lunch at 11.50 a.m. and their break ends at 12.50 p.m.  Those in Year 1 and Year 2 have lunch at 12.00 noon.  Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 begin their break at 12.10 p.m.  Lunchtimes for all end at 1.00 p.m.

Drop-off and collection

At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground (gates open at 8.35 a.m. and again at 2.55 p.m.). This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school; we want to have good links with all parents.  If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know.  This avoids any confusion or upset.

Getting to school

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.

Children who are transported to and from school in a taxi should enter via the school office, and congregate there at the end of the school day.
